Have You Heard The News?
It is easy to assume that everyone has heard the news that 2020 had many highs and lows. No one could have predicted the times we are living in, today. With that, we wanted to put together a list of updates and highlights from 2020 going into 2021.
HBC Ownership Switch
We are excited to congratulate former President and Owner, Larry Brost, on a happy, relaxing and rewarding retirement. We also are excited to announce Adam Twellman as the new President and Owner of Heartlands, as of January 1st, 2021.
HBA’s Outdoor Living Space of the Year
One of the most exciting pieces of news in 2020 was receiving the HBA’s 2019 Outdoor Living Space of the Year award. Take a look at a few photos of the winning project, below!
Construction Industry Record Year
According to Qualified Remodeler, “After the initial economic shock of stay-at-home orders in March and April, it turns out that no single industry benefited more than home improvement from the shifting consumer preferences during the months that followed.”
Because of the news above, Heartlands has experienced a record number of inquiries and meetings. At over 500 inquiries and meetings, one can imagine the art of balancing the schedule. Heartlands is balancing sending out estimates, follow up conversations, meetings, current projects, and more. We’re finding this has expanded our time frame for initial meetings and delivery of estimates.
Our staff is working vigorously to come up with solutions to better serve our customers and future customers!
Now Booking Into 2022
As a result of the record number of meetings and inquiries, we are booking projects into early 2022 (this changes daily). Like the industry as a whole, we are experiencing material delays, weather delays and staff shortages. This all plays a part in how quickly we can start projects.
More Highlights:
- In 2020, and in 2019, we had the honor of sponsoring Cardinal Glennon’s Glennon Gallop, benefiting the Danis Pediatric Center. Even though the Gallop looked a little different this year, this is one of our favorite events to be a part of. We look forward to sponsoring it again in 2021!
- Together, but socially distanced, Heartlands employees celebrated the (strange) year at the annual Holiday party.
- We want to take the time to thank all of our customers, supporters and future customers! Without YOU, we would not be where we are today! We appreciate all of the support we have received while navigating the unforeseen times. All of us at Heartlands are optimistic that we will continue to make adjustments to better serve you! 🙂
